For my character design class, I recorded myself drawing out a viking in a basic shapes design. The video shows a simple process of carving out shapes using color, over a pencil sketch. The final drawing deviates quite far from the sketch and it's that sense of evolution that I like to see in character design. Note the time spent in changing the palette! Jesus, Lacy.
