Digital Sketchbook: Corsair

I was in a mood last night when I drew this. When I'm in such moods I usually resort to this character that I've come to call the Corsair. He resembles me to an extent so it's kinda therapeutic in that way. He's a mash up of a few different character personalities that I created for unused projects. I really love the idea of characters without a specific realm or era to anchor to. Like Frazetta paintings of John Carter who resembles a barbarian with rapier and lazer gun fighting with dinosaurs on another planet without life support. Space, time and continuum be damned! That would be a further goal to achieve with this character.... next time I'm in "a mood."
